Size report at end of compilation

Postby Noyb » Fri Jul 13, 2018 7:14 am

Used AC6 before, a post build step was set to invoke 'arm-none-eabi-size' (and 'objcopy') at the end of compilation.

Now using "Atollic TrueSTUDIO for STM 32 v9.0.1" but the provided 'arm-atollic-reports.jar' file doesn't work. Since I provided my own tool chain, I set the report executable to 'arm-none-eabi-size' like before, but I get a strange error at the end of compilation.

Could it be possible to use the specified tool chain's path ?

Hello there,

That information should already be visible in the Build Analyzer.
Does that not work with your toolchain or is it something specific you're looking for?

You mean the original 'arm-atollic-reports.jar' file was the one feeding the 'Build Analyzer' ? Then what's the point of leaving this field editable ? We used to have the size of sections at the end of compilation log to get an idea of the evolution of said sections. It's nive to have a more detailed verion into the 'Build Analyzer', but a sum up at the end of the log is nice too.

You need to check the checkboxes also in "Other --> Reports" to get the complete input parameter set for arm-atollic-reports.jar.
Not sure if it will work, but looking at your screenshot I assume those checkboxes are not checked.
