receiving "no elf loader for this operation"

Postby johncblacker » Sat Dec 29, 2018 6:40 pm

I'm trying to build the TouchGFX demonstration program for STM32F746G-Discovery board. I get this message whenever I try to load/run program. My linker script is standard as provided by ST. The project is a SW4STM32 sample demonstration from ST opened and converted to Atollic automatically. I can't figure this out. I'm trying to load via ST-LINK V2 and have setup the ST-LINK cli according to Atollic suggestions. I'm need help because at this point I'm stuck!

Solved my problem. Although I did switch from ST-LINK to using the STM32Cube Programmer along with the "-el" parameter in order to get the QSPI memory flashed. I see that ST-LINK also has a "-el" parameter for programming QSPI using an external loader, but haven't tried using it. So, got the TouchGFX demo working using the STM32Cube Programmer as an external tool under Atollic Truestudio 9.2.
