Using ST-Link V3

Postby Yevpator » Mon Nov 26, 2018 7:34 am

Hi All,

Did one here manage to setup ST-Link V3 with the TrueSTUDIO ? I have tried, but failed. ST-Link V3 does work with other ST Programming tool , but not with the TrueSTUDIO.
I would be grateful to any advise on how to resolve the issue.

Thanks!
P.S. Does the V3 indeed works faster/better?

Yes, for me it works without any problem. I just plugged out from USB the nucle board which I've used as ST-Link, plugged in ST-Link V3 and it worked immendiately as I clicked on 'Debug' - and It's faster, of course.

Thank you for your prompt answer.
Which version did you use ? 9.0.0 or 9.1.0 ?

Suddenly, after so many not successful attempts it started working with the latest TrueSTUDIO version. Note I am not sure if the latest version is indeed required.

I'm using 9.1.0 since it's released and everything is OK.

Ok, on the latest 9.2.0, ST link V3 is supported, while 9.0.1 does not.
However, I still didn't find the ST link V3 is supported on the release note...
