It takes one minute to program stm32f7

Postby TLubkowitz » Tue Aug 15, 2017 12:17 pm

Hi, When debugging from atollic IDE version 8 (same with previous version) it takes one minute to program.
with ST-Link utility it takes six seconds.
Are there any setting where we can disable something? same results on two computers. one Mac with Parallells running Windows 10. one Dell with native Windows 10.

I have the same issue, also with an F7. If you are using an ST eval/discovery/nucleo board, you can convert the onboard ST-Link into a J-Link:

This makes things much faster in Atollic. Hopefully Atollic will address the issue soon.

Thanks @jmag999 unfortunately j-linkis not an option. it's a bit faster when i tested with j-link. but other team members does only have ST-Link.
Not a Nucleo board.

Hey TLubkowitz!

Have you tried to set the flash parallelism mode in the startup script under debug configuration?
I'd recommend trying this if you haven't. You can set it like so:

monitor flash set_parallelism_mode 2

Huge thanks Markus!
It's alot faster now. still standing a couple of seconds on 95% but programming is much faster.
