Re: Using uC/OS-III on STM32F429

Hello,

I imported Micrium RTOS on the STM32F411VE discovery board. You have to update the BSP code and fix all compiling/linking issues. I also used STM32 Cube with the RTOS.

Re: Atomic operations

Hello,

You can disable all interrupts before the code section and enable them. Since you are not using an RTOS, you are limited in atomic operations.
Be aware of shared memory problems also.

Re: Repeated debug sessions without downloading the same code

Hello, It's not the excess breakpoint debug startup or restart problem, sometimes the debugger stops responding. Basically, the suspend or restart buttons do not activate and a termination is required. To debug again requires downloading code which can take time due to the program size. Can you bypa...

Repeated debug sessions without downloading the same code

Hello, Can you avoid downloading code for repeated debug sessions? In other words, I am trying to find the reason the code halts due to a software exception which results in the debugger being restarted. The download takes time due to the program size. Also, sometimes the debugger stops functioning ...

Re: Micrium uC/OS-III RTOS Implementation

Hello,

This is an update. I was successful in building the project with Micrium uC/OS-III with the latest STMCube library. The placement of the STMCube folder must be in BSP folder of the Micrium directory. Now I am in the process to integrate the STMCube USB host library with Micrium.
Thanks

Re: Micrium uC/OS-III RTOS Implementation

Hello Mattias, I am in the process to use STM32Cube with Micrium and cannot it compile. I took an STM32Cube project with minimal peripheral functions and then added the Micrium folders. The include paths have been updated, but errors are generated in the STM driver folder. It seems related to how th...

Re: STM32Cube Example Projects Import

Hello again,

I believe the application note or blog didn't mention to create a new separate project before importing the files. This was all relevant files can be moved (in the Atollic IDE) into the new the project. I will try this.

Thanks

Re: Micrium uC/OS-III RTOS Implementation

Hello again, I successfully implemented uC/OS-III based on a IAR embedded workbench project. It was very difficult because of a new toolchain which I am still learning. Basically, the IAR project was based on a similar processor, STM32F407IG, I am using the STM32F411VE on the STM32 discoovery board....
