Re: CMSIS with CubeMx

Hello,

I have used the CMSIS DSP libraries, you have to make sure all function calls have their function definitions visible by having their files built into the project. For example, the code for the example DSP operations, I added the required C files to the project to save space.

Re: Long time to upload a program in debug mode

Hello, The debugger settings are the default and the program size is large. The build takes about 4 minutes and the flash download about 4 minutes. The other issue is if you can enter debug mode without flash programming for a repeat debug session. For example, P&E debuggers have a choice to sta...

Re: .bss section will not fit in RAM - overflow of RAM

Hello bosley_music,

The stack is located at address 0x20020000; /* end of 128K RAM */ with a size of 0x400.

Re: Flash Overflow, WHY?

Hello,

Sorry, I meant the ld file for the linker. What device are you using? 297Kb is not too large a program size, what is the size of the flash memory?
The RAM data should be in RAM after variable initialization. Can you provide a copy of the map file.

Re: Flash Overflow, WHY?

How large is your program? Did you check the flash id file?

Re: Long time to upload a program in debug mode

It also takes me a few minutes to enter debug mode due to the flash programming using the ST Link within Atollic. Will J-Link provide a faster download of code?

.bss section will not fit in RAM - overflow of RAM

Hello,

How to reduce the .bss section to fit in RAM? I am using the STM32F411VE discovery board and using Micrium RTOS .

Thanks

Re: Using uC/OS-III on STM32F429

Hello Glen,

The process of importing Micrium RTOS will require generating a new TrueSTUIDIO project with the target MCU. You can view the Micrium IAR project as a guide. The startup code will need to be updated and well as the how interrupt vector table. I can provide more details on this.

Thanks
