Re: Passing parameters from the gcc command line

I didn't get the error you had, but my solution was to add -DCONFIG_RELEASE=1 to the command line, and #ifdef CONFIG_RELEASE / #endif to the file, around the code I wanted as conditional.

Passing parameters from the gcc command line

Hi, I'm attempting to pass a parameter for a conditional compile from the gcc command line to my application. I have two build makefiles, one for debug and one for release. We have some code that's only meant for the release build. So far, so good. If I do a debug build, the eliminated code is graye...

Min Free Stack Disabled

I'm using TrueStudio with a FreeRTOS based project. In the debug view, the FreeRTOS Task List tab shows a Min Free Stack list which says "Disabled" for all tasks. How do I enable this? There were a couple of old responses on here to this question, but they contained attachments that were n...

Reset doesn't seem to put the IVT MSP value into the MSP

I'm using the STM32L152 processor. I just noticed that on a reset the value at IVT slot 0, which should be the MSP value, doesn't get put into the MSP. I see another value there on a reset. I added "ldr sp, =_estack" at the start of Reset_Handler, and that seems to work, but I'm curious wh...

Hard coded path in True Studio make file

Hi. I converted my project from a CDT to a make file build, so I could modify the make file. I've noticed that there's a hard coded path for the java utility: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Atollic\TrueSTUDIO for STM32 9.2.0\ide\jre\bin\java" -jar "C:\Program Files (x86)\Atollic\TrueSTUDIO f...

Startup script for dual bank debugging

I'm working with the STM32L152RE, which has dual flash banks. Each bank has a binary file image loaded. I'm trying to start the debugger in Bank 1 (0x08000000), have it stop at main() (or some specific address) and debug in assembly. I haven't been able to get the debugger to stop at a known address...

Conversion of project from CDT to make file

True Studio gives you the option of creating a project as either a CDT project or a make file project. Is it possible to convert an existing project to a make file project? Thanks.

Running multiple builds sequentially

I'd like to find out if there's a way to run multiple builds sequentially. At the moment, when I build a project, I run the build command, wait for it to complete, then make some modifications to the .ld file and run the build again. Everything but the linker file is the same for both builds. I'd li...

Entering multiple post-build commands in TrueStudio

I've worked with other IDEs that allow entering multiple lines in the post-build command field and I've run into a situation where it would come in handy. Is there any way that I can enter multiple lines for post-build commands? Thanks.
