Re: trying to write a blink sketch for STM32F4 discovery board

Hello, A very simple way is: 1. Create a new basic Atollic project based on the STM32F4 MCU, not the board. 2. Compile the project and fix any missing file errors. 3. Download the basic project to the board. This will require a debug setup. 4. Create a CubeMX project for the STM32F4 board add the GP...

Re: counting pulses using STM32F407G

Hello,

Setup a timer for input capture with rising edge detection. In the timer interrupt service routine, increment a counter on every interrupt entry.

Re: Embedded C/C++ Application Run Configurations

Hello,

You may need to enable the release build in project properties to enable the release version. Choosing embedded C/C++ is the correct option for the embedded environment.

Re: This forum closing?

This forum should remain separate from ST and remain to support existing users of Atollic.

Re: TrueSTUDIO C++ version

Hello, The best way will be to generate a new TrueSTUDIO project and copy the example code into the new Atollic project folder. Do no use the STM32Cube MX Atollic project generated files, only use the STM32CubeMX generated code which can be copied into the Atollic project folder. The example STM32 c...

Re: Having problems with code

Hello,

What value do you get when you read the ADC? The ADC counts returned from the HAL function.

Re: Saving ASCII data into an external file from an embedded target

You can use an embedded file system which will require a USB device stack to write to a USB flash drive. Easier option will be store the data into the flash memory which can be read later. Have you tried sending data out the serial port and capture the data on a PC terminal program?

Re: Who is using C++ in their projects?

The book C++ Primer provides a great introduction to C++. Since TrueSTUDIO supports C++, it will be nice to use C++ on STM32 applications.

Re: How to build an embedded code as windows app?

Hello,

This is a great article and can be very useful to test code without hardware. There should be more documentation on this.
